And boy are they happy!!!

Well just when you thought it couldn’t get more confusing Yellen (not Screamin) comes out with a whole new different tone suggesting that equilibrium on unemployment is around 5.5% not 6.5% as previously suggested.as a result she feels the need..the need for speed..or at least more Fed stimulus for longer..so off we go again!!!

We will follow ..my caution seems misplaced as she screams “Damn the Torpedoes and full steam ahead!!”Iron Ore felt the same as Chinese stimulus looms…it’s on …expect some extra bullishness to return to our shores despite the looming tough budget…Maybe we can have a go at the 5450 level in the next day or so…no reason not to..

Zombieland showed that the inflation tiger had been well and truly tamed and the risk is of deflation, stagnation and continued mass unemployment…so expect them to stimulate…inflation eased to 0.5% YoY in March and down form  a 0.7% gain in February …The March reading was the lowest in 4 years..Japan will have to, China will and no sign of the UK pulling back either so once again it looks like we may have coordinated Central Bank Stimulus…what could go wrong?

Gold falls nearly 1% but Iron Ore up 4%!!!Dollar 92.70..

Idea of the Day

Time to revisit an old favourite of mine…now we all know that Sydney and Melbourne house prices are booming and the banks are doing nicely nicely out of it…one that will also do well is MOC..they have slipped back after their dividend to around 2.70…. now I reckon they could be yielding close to 5.6% fully franked…they are doing well off the banks who are competing to get business as its the only money being borrowed so they will be given good trails and good upfronts to push banks biz…plus I feel sure that the winners from the Government squib of the new financial advice legislation will help these guys out too…lots of general advice on products while you get your mortgage sorted..do you want fries with that…Like this stock ..know the founders and am a true believer..buy here at 2.70…simples…

The IPOs in the Us are coming thick and fast.. Still, three-quarters of recent IPOs are companies with zero or negative earnings (the highest ratio since the 2000 bubble peak), and investors have long forgotten that neither positive earnings, rapid recent growth, or a seemingly “reasonable” price/earnings ratio are enough to properly value a long-lived security.

After the French elections at the weekend the PM has been sent to the guillotine to cries of “off with his head”.Disastrous results from Hollande has seen a number of heads hit the basket.. Hollande is expected to select Manuel Valls, a Socialist heavyweight and France’s popular Interior Minister, as his new premier.Vive la difference n’est pas!

The Thomson Reuters/Core Commodity CRB Index ended up 8.7 per cent for the first three months combined, making it the best quarter since September 2012 for the 19-commodity index. Arabica coffee rose 61 per cent to be the quarter’s best performer. Most of its gains were during Brazil’s unprecedented dry weather between January and February, which led many analysts to mark down their production estimates from the world’s No. 1 coffee grower.

In 2012, the last year for which figures were available, China counted 3.1 million divorces, up 133 percent over 2003. Big cities are the epicenter of China’s new wave of “conscious uncoupling,” including Shanghai, Tianjin, and Beijing. This is one reason for the rise.. “Many couples opt to end their marriage for tax reasons, to purchase property [given Beijing’s restrictions on multiple purchases by couples] or get greater compensation for demolition of property,” according to one report!

And finally…..my thanks to Barry for these fine set of entries into the Lexophiles competition this year…
